Can I use Wayru if my device doesn't support eSIM?

Understanding eSIM Compatibility Requirements

Updated over a week ago

You can use the app for the WiFi features, but not for the eSIM. eSIM functionality requires specific hardware components (eUICC - embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card) that are built into the device during manufacturing.

For Android users: Older Android devices or budget models often lack eSIM capability, as this technology is typically found in newer, mid to high-end devices.

For iPhone users: eSIM support was introduced with iPhone XS/XR. Older iPhone models (iPhone X and earlier) do not have the necessary eSIM hardware.

Alternative Solution: You can still benefit from Wayru's WiFi Premium service, which provides high-speed internet access through Wayru's network of WiFi hotspots and locations, offering a reliable alternative way to stay connected.
