How to edit networks names

Change Private and Public SSID and Access Credentials

One of the most requested features from our community is now live!

With the Operators Web Portal, you can now edit both the public WiFi network (SSID) and the private WiFi network (SSID + password) for each hotspot.

How to Edit SSID and Credentials

  1. Go to Hotspot.

  2. Select the hotspot you want to configure.

  3. Click on Networks.

  4. Scroll down to Open Network Configuration.

    • Under SSID Open Network, type the new name for your public WiFi.

    • ⚠️ By default, this is named .Wayru WiFi. (This is the one that redirects users to the captive portal).

  5. For the Private Network:

    • Under SSID Private Network, type the new name you want.

    • Enter a new password and confirm it.

    • ⚠️ By default, this is named Wayru Operators.

  6. Click Save changes.

✅ Done! Your hotspot’s WiFi networks will now display with the new names and credentials.
